Overall, the process of producing and using chipboard involves two main stages: preparation and production. It begins with various preparation steps, including cutting, grinding, drying and storing, before the chipboard is shaped and later used to create furniture designs.
In the preparation stage, trees are first cut down and trimmed into logs. These logs are then processed into wood chips and the resulting product is subsequently dried with hot air and steamed for a period of 24 hours. Following this, they are stored for a duration ranging from one to four weeks.
The production stage that follows begins with mixing, where the dried wood chips are combined with glue and wax to strengthen the mixture. It is then placed into a mould to create shape before undergoing pressing, which compresses the material into chipboard sheets. Finally, these chipboards are utilized in the manufacture of furniture items such as tables and chairs, thus completing the cycle from raw material to finished product.
